19-02-2016: SISCOG RECOGNIZED WITH SME EXCELLENCE 2015 STATUTE
Distinction awarded by IAPMEI recognizes SISCOG’s merit and contribution to the Portuguese economy’s performance

SISCOG, the software company specialised in solutions for optimised planning and management of resources in transportation companies, was honored with the SME Excellence 2015 Statute, awarded by IAPMEI (Portuguese Institute of Support to Small and Medium size Enterprises and Innovation), having also received the Merit Award. The company also renewed its SME Leader Statute in 2015, a prize awarded to companies that stand out for their economic strength and high profitability level, demonstrated by the average value of its Financial Autonomy and Equity Capital.

"It's always an honour to receive the renewal of the SME Excellence Statute, a Merit Prize and a tribute during IAPMEI’s event "40 years - 40 companies". These awards recognize the work, commitment and dedication of SISCOG’s team, that over the past 30 years has been working and contributing to the company's success and the country’s development”, says João Pavão Martins, SISCOG’s CEO and co-founder. Last December, the technology company had already been distinguished by IAPMEI, which celebrated its 40th anniversary by paying tribute to 40 companies, whose selection was based on their sustainable growth and good management practices.

Earlier this year, SISCOG announced a new international client, Via Rail Canada, a public passenger railway company responsible for the majority of the rail transport in Canada. Currently, SISCOG counts 110 employees in Lisbon and 22 in Porto, totalling 132 people, and celebrates this year three decades of existence.

SME Excellence is a reputation mark that distinguishes companies which, in various sectors of activity, presented the best economic, financial and management results. SME Excellence Statute is part of IAPMEI’s company segmentation program, which aims to give visibility and optimise financing conditions and competitive strength to the SME segment with higher risk profiles, and that by their growth strategies constitute important levers for the country’s economic development. This business qualification status was created by IAPMEI, in partnership with Turismo de Portugal (Portuguese Tourism) and a set of 11 Bank Partners: Banco BIC, Banco BPI, Banco Popular, Barclays, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Crédito Agrícola, Millennium BCP, Montepio, Novo Banco, Novo Banco Açores and Santander Totta.
